Hello from the Blankenship's in Vancouver, WA.
Picture above: Mitchell, Chris, Amy, & Beth-Ann at our first goat show as a family.
Living the dream on a tiny farm in rural setting in an ever encroaching city. Keeping the country feel on our tiny farm (1 acre). Yes 1 acre, raising registered Pure Bred Nubian goats, a few piggy's, Brittany dog's, & couple barn cats.
We are proud to brag about our kids 4H projects that have us scrambling everyday to get all the to-do's done.
That's how it all started... our, the kids, & county 4H projects.
Enjoy looking through our site and drop us an email if you like, too.
Chris, Amy, Beth-Ann, & Mitchell :)
We have raised many kinds of animals for many meat purposes. Everyone that has had farm raised products knows the difference and we know where it comes from. But we didn't just say to each other "honey, let's move to the country and live off the land." We both grew up on farms and animals are what we like. We are a very normal well rounded family with real jobs and lots of interests.
But the goats- thats what we do! After going through the gamit of animals the goats always come out on top! If you asked us 10 years ago what animal we really loved, I promise goat was at the bottom!
It's only because we had a friend that was relocating to the coast and needed a home for his 3 nubian does. That changed everything.
Let the milking begin...........lovin every minute of it too!.
Every goat is registered and responsibly bred. The nubian does came from great milking lines. We show them too at local ADGA shows.
Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.
When we sell one of our goats you can always count on us to help you in the future with your new purchase!!!
New pages are always being added so come back often and see that we've added. The newest (as of March 2010) are the vaccination, colostrum, and testing results pages. Plus all the animals have been up dated as of 3/29/10.
Future pages will include: soap making, milk parlor photos, new barn, favorite cheese recipes, and milking procedures.
